He Haliʻa Aloha no Liliʻuokalani, 10 September 2022, Liliʻuokalani Gardens

On the first Saturday of each September, Liliʻuokalani Gardens is filled with music and motion as hundreds of hula dancers express their aloha for Queen Liliʻuokalani, hula, Japanese culture, and the blended community which defines our islands today. He Hali’a Aloha No Liliʻuokalani Festivalcelebrates “Beloved Memories of Liliʻuokalani.” Friends of Kalākaua Park and the Hilo Lei Day Festival with be there demonstrating and teaching lei making.
